The Waterford Dee Bit has many smooth flexible stainless steel bumps, which can act as pressure points. The great flexibility will discourage the horse from leaning on it. The Waterford bit is used mainly for strong going horses. Most commonly used in hunt seat activities but is not permitted in dressage. Its “D” shaped rings help with lateral control of the head. Its effect is a little stronger than the Eggbutt snaffle bits.
